Glen Mills once again named Canada Cup Head Coach

The Ontario Football Alliance is pleased to announce that Glen Mills will once again be Head Coach of Team Ontario: Canada Cup! The 2017 Football Canada Cup will take place in Nova Scotia.

HEAD COACH: Glen Mills - Western Mustangs | Essex Ravens

          

Glen Mills will once again return as Head Coach of Team Ontario. Mills is currently Defensive Line Coach for the Western Mustangs. As well, Mills is currently the Head Coach of the Perennial Powerhouse Essex Ravens, a position he has held since 1998, leading the team to 7 championship appearances, winning in 1998, 2002, 2010, & 2015. Mills was an assistant coach with Team Ontario from 2002 to 2009 winning 3 National Championships.  Mill’s championship winning pedigree is sure to help this year’s squad in winning the Football Canada Cup.

Since Mills has taken over, Ontario has won a medal in the past 4 Football Canada Cup’s. Year 1, Ontario defeated Saskatchewan and won a Bronze Medal in Moncton, New Brunswick. Year 2, Ontario defeated the defending Gold Medalist Quebec in the semis, then Saskatchewan in their home province to win its first National Championship in a decade. In year 3, Mills once again led Team Ontario to the Gold Medal game only to fall to Quebec. Finally, in Year 4, Ontario defeated Alberta for is 2nd Bronze Medal in 4 years. Along with his success with Team Ontario, Mills would lead Team Canada to a 2015 International Bowl victory.
