International Bowl Coaching Staff

U18 (1999-2000)

HEAD COACH: Dwayne Cameron - Laurier Golden Hawks

Dwayne Cameron is currently the Special Teams & Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach for the Laurier Golden Hawks. Cameron has been with the Golden Hawks since 2004 in various roles and was part of the coaching staff on the 2005 Vanier Cup winning team.

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Joe D'Amore - Windsor Lancers

Joe D'Amore is currently the Head Coach of the Windsor Lancers. He was named the fourth head coach in the Lancers’ 42-year history of the program in 2012, following a one year-stint as the interim head coach. Widely respected as one of the top young coaches in the country, D'Amore has led the Lancers into the playoffs in each of his four seasons as head coach.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Donnavan Carter - Guelph Gryphons

Donnavan Carter is currently Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach for the Guelph Gryphons. Prior to joining the Gryphons, Carter was the Associate Head Coach & Defensive Coordinator of the Windsor Lancers. Carter helped lead the Lancers to two consecutive playoff births, including their first home playoff date in 10 years in 2014.

SPECIAL TEAMS COORDINATOR: Ryan Karhut - York Lions

Ryan Karhut is currently the Special Teams Coordinator & Recruiting Coordinator for the York Lions. Ryan Karhut was named the program’s special teams coordinator ahead of the 2015 season. He brings to York more than 26 years of experience in football as a player and a coach. In addition to his work with the Lions he is also the head coach of the York Region Lions in the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL), a role in took over in 2016 before leading them to a 6-2 record. Immediately prior to coming to York, he was the head coach of the Winnipeg Rifles in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) for two seasons.

OFFENSIVE ASSISTANT: Carl Tolmie - Ottawa Gee Gee's

Carl Tolmie is currently the Offensive Line Coach for the Ottawa Gee Gee's. Tolmie joined the Gee-Gees in spring of 2016 and had most recently been coaching with the Myers Riders, winning two provincial championships with a 32-1 record over three seasons in the OFVL. He also has CIS experience on the sidelines of Sherbrooke, Montreal, and Guelph and is tremendously active in coaches’ and players’ clinics for offensive line.

OFFENSIVE ASSISTANT: Josh Malekzadeh - Western Mustangs

Josh Malekzadeh is currently the Receivers Coach for the Western Mustangs. As well, Malekzadeh is currently the Video Coordinator for the Western Mustangs.

DEFENSIVE ASSISTANT: Ben D'Andrea - Queens Gaels

Ben is currently the Defensive Backs Coach for the Queens Gaels. Ben played football for Queen’s for five seasons at defensive back winning the Vanier Cup in 2009 with the Tricolour. Ben’s father Jim also played football at Queen’s as a defensive back and was a member of the 1978 Vanier Cup champion Gaels. Ben graduated from Queen’s with a Bachelor of Physical Health and Education and has enjoyed success with KING Athletics in their Ottawa and Calgary offices as director and head performance coach. Ben also spent time working with the Gee-Gees coaching staff as a defensive assistant in 2014 and he joined the Gaels as an assistant coach for the defence in 2015.

U16 (2001-2002)

HEAD COACH: Ryan Clutterbuck

Ryan Clutterbuck is currently an assitant coach with the Western Mustangs. Previous to his time with Western, Clutterbuck was the Offensive Coordinator for the London Beefeaters of the CJFL, winning the Ontario Football Conference Championship in 2012. Clutterbuck is also the Wide Receiver coach for the London Junior Mustangs, winning an OVFL Championship in 2012.

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Alex Vertullo - Queens Gaels

Alex Vertullo is currently the Offensive Coordinator & Quarterbacks Coach for the Queens Gaels. Before his time with Queens, Vertullo spent a year with the University of Montreal as an Offensive Assistant. Vertullo has also spent time in CEGEP with Andre Grasset Cegep as a Receiver & Quarterback Coach. Vertullo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Sport Studies from Bishops University.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Warren Craney - York Lions

Warren Craney is currently the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the York Lions. Craney has been the Head Coach for the Lions since 2010. Craney has made a name for himself on the international scene and has been on the Team Canada Coaching Staff since 2009. This past summer as head coach he led the Junior National team to the Gold Medal at the 2016 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) U19 World Championships in Harbin, China.

SPECIAL TEAMS COORDINATOR: Vince Flamia - Laurier Golden Hawks

Vince Flamia is currently the Defensive Backs and Special Teams Assistant for the Laurier Golden Hawks.

OFFENSIVE ASSISTANT: Scott Westlake - Ottawa Gee Gee's

Scott Westlake is currently the Running Backs Coach for the Ottawa Gee Gee's. An alumnus of the Bishop's Gaiters football program, Westlake is the head coach of the Cumberland Panthers senior varsity team. The Ottawa native has also held numerous positions within the Ashbury College program, and joined the Gee-Gee's in 2013.

OFFENSIVE ASSISTANT: Irv Daymond - Laurier Golden Hawks

Irv Daymond is currently the Offensive Line Coach for the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks. Prior to joining Laurier, Daymond was the Offensive Line Coach for McGill University in Quebec and previous to that was the Offensive Line Coach for the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Daymond has also been the Offensive Line Coach for Team Ontario East.

DEFENSIVE ASSISTANT: Brendan Conway - Waterloo Warriors

Brendan Conway is currently the Linebackers Coach for the Waterloo Warriors. After enjoying a five year playing career with the Warriors, Conway joins the coaching staff for his first season as linebackers coach. Conway brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the Warriors having and can relate to the players having competed with a lot of the current roster players last season.
